About our team
Our clinic is a group of collegial doctors and support staff. Our Administrative Staff answers telephone calls and books appointments; arranges tests; books consultation appointments with specialists; measures blood pressures, heights and weights; manages waiting room traffic and guides patients to examination rooms, and deals with forms and requisitions of every description. Please treat them with respect- it can be difficult balancing patient requests with physician availability, while being called upon from all directions.
Several of our doctors teach medical students (all third and fourth year University of Alberta medical students have to a four week urban family practice rotation), Family Medicine residents., and International Medical Graduates. The medical students are getting a taste- an experience- of family medicine, before they have to choose a career path. The residents are polishing their skills as they finish their training prior to practice. IMGs have worked in other countries, and are training to be doctors in Canada.
